Lisbon: A Journey Through Time

I’ve been to Lisbon for work several times, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite cities. Let me share a little bit about this charming and vibrant Portuguese capital.

Ancient Origins: As the second-oldest capital in Europe after Athens, Lisbon was founded around 1200 BC by the Phoenicians. Its name, "Lisbon," is believed to derive from the Phoenician phrase "Alis Ubbo," meaning "safe harbor."
