South America as a destination

The most important travel destinations briefly described!

Unfortunately, I've only made it as far as Caracas Airport so far! I have a few friends in Chile and Colombia who have been waiting for a visit for a long time now! Let's see when I can make that happen. I definitely need to catch up!

South America, the southern portion of the Americas, spans approximately 17.8 million square kilometers. It's the fourth-largest continent on Earth, home to over 441 million people. European colonization began in the 15th century with Christopher Columbus' arrival in the Caribbean. Many South American countries gained independence from European rule in the 19th century.

Brazil

Brazil is so much more than just the 2014 World Cup, although that event certainly forged a significant connection between Brazil and Germany. This South American gem is a vibrant and diverse country renowned for its lively culture, stunning natural beauty, and warm-hearted people.

Chile: A Land of Extraordinary Diversity
